Being a volunteer with Grace House North East can be very interesting and fulfilling. Our volunteers give their time, energy and enthusiasm to support us in all aspects of promoting and running the charity, maintaining the building, and raising vital funds. We could not do it without them.
Volunteering roles include fund raising, staffing reception, office duties, basic building and garden maintenance, doing talks about the work of Grace House and helping at events.
All volunteers will be asked to provide the names of two people who can vouch for your suitability to volunteer for Grace House. Some volunteering roles also require volunteers to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check - formerly known as a CRB check. Under Section 4 (2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exception Order 1975) spent convictions must also be declared.
