Rachael Jenkins

Office and Facilities Manager

I was born in Sunderland and have lived here my whole life. From leaving school in 2010, I began an apprenticeship in AAT and joined an accountancy practice where I gained a lot of knowledge about accountancy and finance. I also helped with setting up a new office for the business. I gained my AAT qualification whist working at the firm, then decided to go into the Charity sector in 2014. I joined the team at Age UK Sunderland and gained a lot of knowledge and experience, also stepping up while the finance manager was on Maternity leave. I have decided to move to Grace House as Office & Facilities Manager to broaden my skill set whilst still being involved in finance. I feel extremely motivated about joining the team and have already seen some of the great work the organisation does.

I am a proud homeowner and love travelling to new places, walking, eating out and spending time with friends and family. I am a first aider and enjoy helping people.
