Sun FM Bring a £ to Work Day

On Thursday 22nd May 2008 Sunderland's number 1 radio station Sun FM will be holding their annual ‘Bring a Pound to Work Day’ and this year all the money raised will be given to the appeal.

Sun FM are dedicating an entire day to this annual event, and our teams of “collectors” will be out and about across Wearside all day. All we want you to do is register your workplace by filling in the form and sending it to the appeal office or emailing it back to us. We will then send you a pack in the post, including a poster to put up to remind everyone to bring in a £ coin on the day. On 22nd May we will visit you wherever it is you work and collect the pound coins that you have collected off the participating people you work with; it’s that easy.

What is the Grace House North East Children’s Hospice Appeal?

The Grace House North East Children’s Hospice Appeal is raising funds to build, equip and run an eight bed children’s hospice for children across the North East.

Over 1,200 families in our region require hospice care and Grace House will provide a home from home, loving environment where children and their families may turn to for support.

Why do we need your help?

At present the government does not provide long term funding for children’s hospices and this means that charities like ours rely on the goodwill of dedicated fundraising teams and the generosity of the public.

Children’s hospice services are provided free to children and families. Each service is a charity that relies on donations and fundraising by the general public, companies and organisations.

Grace House will provide a range of professional support including practical help, nursing care and bereavement support to life-limited children and their families 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
