December 26, 2019, The 'Boxing Day Dip' takes place on our wonderful coastline at Seaburn Beach and has become a part of Sunderland's history.
Organised by Sunderland Lions Club it is an occasion for the people of the North East to dress up in all manner of fancy dress, take a dip in the North Sea, raise money for Grace House and blow the Christmas cobwebs away! Spectators are encouraged as well so bring your friends and family down to support!
Entry is just £25 made payable directly to the Sunderland Lions.

We have two very exciting job opportunities at Grace House:
Job Title: Building and Facilities Co-ordinator. Salary £12,973 per annum, Hours 20 per week, plus excellent holidays
We are seeking to recruit someone with experience in co-ordinating the maintenance & repair of a busy building which supports young people with additional needs and busy public meeting rooms. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate working knowledge of ensuring maintenance schedules & services to all buildings and outside areas are adhered to and experience of co-ordinating contractors. They will need to run both the site and take a strategic view.
Job title: Finance and Office Co-ordinator, Salary: £12,973 per annum, Hours: 20 per week, plus excellent holidays
We are seeking to recruit a skilled, experienced Finance and Office Co-ordinator.
The successful applicant will be flexible, proactive and a creative problem solver, able to work as part of a team. They will need experience in managing financial functions, and other additional office functions.
